Dr Rae
Chiropractor
Dr Rae graduated as valedictorian from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2017. Prior to that she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta, while playing collegiate soccer and Junior A hockey for the Edmonton Wolves. As a competitive athlete, sports medicine was her first passion. In her first few years of practice she had a high volume practice that included a lot of babies and kids, and after seeing the incredible results kids have with chiropractic care, she decided to continue her training through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). The Lakes Chiropractic was created to be a place where she could spend the time needed with each patient to help them get moving and feeling their best.
Carrie
Office Manager
Carrie is the first smiling face you see when you walk through the doors of TLC on Mondays, and she is an integral part of keeping the office running behind the scenes the rest of the week. She loves spending time outdoors, she is a fantastic cook, and if she is not at the office you will most likely find her either chasing her grandkids or walking one of her grand-dogs up and down the hills of The Lakes. She has been an excellent addition to our team, and we are very lucky to have her!
Terrina
TLC ambassador &
Touch for Health practitioner
The universe blessed us with Terrina early in 2022. She has spent most of her career in allopathic medical centers, but her own healing journey brought her a passion for working with the body's natural healing ability. When she is not in the office you can find her walking creekside with one of her three pups, reading or building her energetic healing practice. When she is not helping patients at TLC her nose is always in a book, as she has a eager thirst for knowledge. She embodies all that we believe in so we are very excited that she has decided to make TLC home.
Jenn
RMT and myofascial release coach
Movement is life.
When the body moves how it is designed to,
There are less limits to what can be accomplished.
Over the course of her 14 year massage career, Jenn has learned to look at the body holistically. Where pain/discomfort is felt is not always the place where the problem is. Through assessment, massage and mobility work, the body can come back into its proper alignment and move in all the ways it needs to. (Add in some chiro and you’re supporting your body even better)
Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed and Jenn is very passionate about helping her patients reach whatever level of activity and movement they desire. From pregnancy to postpartum (no matter how long ago that might have been), everyday athletes to those training for big events, or regular aches and pains due to work or lifestyle demands, Jenn is here to help.
Jenn experienced decades of chronic pain and knows what it's like to have limitations and restrictions on what she can do. Her biggest goal in working with patients is to help them connect the dots of what contributes to their pain/discomfort, relieve it and continue to assist them as they build their body to do anything and everything they want to do.
Jenn's practice focuses on fascial work, trigger point release, systemic relaxation and mobility/exercises (which often replace the need for deep tissue massage. However, Jenn will get as deep as needed to help the tissue relax).
